Bobby's Coca-Cola Bottles Print E-mail

The first Coke bottle in my collection is a German Coca-Cola glass bottle which I brought home from the Hilton Berlin Hotel as a memento in April 1994.  Since then everywhere I travel, I always stop by the local convenient store or supermarket looking for new contour-shaped bottles to bring home to add to my collection.

Here are some of my favorite bottles:

Hi
I've listed a red velvet flocked Coke bottle on Ebay and my wife insists
that it's worth more than the price I'm asking.
Ebay Item number:
200255020375
Here's all I know about it:

Christmas Gift from Coca Cola to
their license holders. Limited number distributed in 2003 and never
repeated.
Real glass coke bottle with red velvet flocking. In new condition.
In original plastic package. Text on package 50's icon of generations.

Hi Mccoke:

I found an article on the bottle you asked
about:

http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_hb
5563/is_200209/ai_n22891273

Brazil, Sep 25, 2002 (Gazeta Mercantil/SABI via
COMTEX)
\"Imaginarium, a Brazilian gifts & decoration franchise chain,
headquarted in Florianopolis, made a licensing contract with Coca-Cola. The
first product introduced in the market is the \'Icone de Geracoes\',
line which flagship is the traditional 237ml Coca-Cola glass bottle. The glass
bottles were created in the US in 1915. Imaginarium reproduced 4,000 Coca-Cola
bottles, which are being sold in five colors in its 60 branches all over the
country.\"

Although it was a limited edition bottle, it was produced
for collectors by a licensed manufacturer and sold through retail channels in
Brazil. I think most bottle collectors may not consider it to be a premium
bottle.

I hope this helps.

I need to list for sale on eBay a 20 inch glass Coca Cola display bottle I
bought right at Coca Cola headquarters in Atlanta in 1977. Can you
give me a ballpark figure or its value?
bobby  - Re: 20" glass display bottle   |2008-11-08
Hi DianaM:

There have been different 20" glass display bottles
produced over the years.  Petretti's 11th edition Guide lists several of
the vintage ones on pp. 407-408.

If the display bottle you purchased
in Atlanta was a newly produced display bottle (with box) and not
a vintage one, I have seen these "newer" bottles (some
currently on eBay) for about $50-100.

The earlier display bottles from
the 1930s - my favorite is the Christmas display bottle - is valued at
$400 or more if you have the original cap to go with it. The cap
measures 2.5" in diameter.

Here is a picture of the cap in my
gallery: http://images.7xpub.com/gallery/5938746_QuNxF

Do you have a picture of your display bottle to share?

Thanks
Bobby
